In Brief
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking tools. Fonts, images, and videos are served from our own web server; no third-party content such as video platforms, maps, or social media plugins is embedded. Personal data is processed only when pages are retrieved and when you send us a message.
Hosting and Server Logs
The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (San Francisco, USA). When a page is loaded, Netlify processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address, referring page, and information about the browser and operating system. The purpose is the secure and stable delivery of the website; the legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not analyze this data or combine it with other data. Netlify processes it on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
Videos
The videos are stored on the same web server as the website and are only loaded when you click “Play.” The short film excerpt at the top of the home page is also served from our own server. No data is transmitted to video platforms.
Contact Form and Email
When you write to us via the contact form or by email, we process your details (first name, last name, email address, subject, message, and the language version of the website) in order to answer your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your inquiry concerns a contract, and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Form submissions are stored by Netlify Forms and forwarded to us by email. To protect against spam, Netlify automatically checks submissions using Akismet (Automattic Inc., USA). We delete your details once your inquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Transfers to the USA
Netlify states that it is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For certified companies, the European Commission has found an adequate level of data protection (Art. 45 GDPR).
Links to Other Websites
Links to Facebook, Instagram, Dropbox, ORF-Enterprise, or the performers’ websites are plain links. Only when you click such a link are you taken to the provider’s site, where its own privacy policy applies.
Your Rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability, as well as the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 15–21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, write to go@scarlattiarts.com. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, such as the Spanish Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD) or the Austrian Data Protection Authority (DSB).
